Full project name: EU4Health Integration and Impact Initiative

Duration: 12 months

Consortium: I3h Institute (I3h ULB), One Sustainable Health for All Foundation (OSH Foundation), Childhood Cancer International Europe (CCI Europe), European Brain Council (EBC)

Description:

The EU4Health Integration and Impact Initiative (EU4H3I) aims to address public health challenges such as healthcare disparities, unequal access to therapies, and lack of diversity in clinical trials. By advocating for interdisciplinary collaboration and adopting a holistic, multi-sectoral approach through the One Health perspective, the initiative supports the development of the European Health Union.

The EU4Health initiative includes several key activities aimed at improving public health. A major event in Brussels focuses on Childhood Cancer, One Health, and Brain Health, complemented by side events during consortium partners’ annual gatherings, such as the Brain Innovation Days. Additionally, patient-centered awareness campaigns are conducted through social media, and a dedicated website is used to share project information and results.

In terms of policy and advocacy, the initiative aims to address healthcare challenges and promote health literacy. It focuses on tackling inequalities in access to therapies and healthcare services, ensuring diversity in clinical trials, and innovating treatments for paediatric cancer to increase survival rates and reduce toxicity. The One Health approach leverages holistic strategies to address health challenges, while fostering dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders to contribute to the European Health Union.

The impact of these efforts is seen in enhanced public health through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The initiative supports the development of the European Health Union and health policy dialogues, increasing awareness through high-impact events and sustainable outreach strategies. This comprehensive approach aims to improve public health, promote equity, and foster collaboration across Europe.
